This Halloween, there are so many events happening for kids, that its hard to keep them all straight! We’ve picked a few of our local favorites happening in Destin or surrounding areas to share with you. Check out this list of Halloween Events for Kids in Destin, Florida before making any plans!
GulfSCARium : Scream in delight – not fright! – Gulfarium’s Splash or Treat Halloween celebration is happening Oct 28, 2017 from 9am to 3:30pm and Oct 31 from 4pm-6pm at the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park in Fort Walton Beach. Everyone is invited to join us for Halloween fun full of marine life and lots of candy! Admission is FREE for each child in costume (limit 2 kids per adult). Enjoy trick-or-treating around the park, bounce-house, skeleton scavenger hunt, and more!
Arnett’s Pumpkin Festival : The 2nd Annual Pumpkin Festival at Arnett’s Gulfside Farm & Stables is happening on two back to back weekends! Come out October 21st – 22nd and October 28th -29th from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. all days! Come out to the stables and pick out your pumpkins, paint your pumpkins, jump in the bouncy house along with pony rides, hay rides through the haunted trails of Point Washington State Forest, and get some yummy cotton candy, popcorn, hot dogs and drinks! Free admission. Tickets for individual activities $5. Wear your Halloween costume if you dare!
BooLus : Our annual BooLu’s Halloween Extravagza is happening October 28 at 11am! You don’t want to miss the SPOOKY fun LuLu’s has in store! This FREE Family event is complete with FREE inflatable Bouncy Slide, FREE Jellyfish Jumper, FREE Face Painting, FREE Crafts including the favorite – Paint your own Pumpkin, Trunk or Treating, Costume Contest- make sure to register by 5:00pm and judging starts at 5:30pm with prizes for winners and a showing of Beetlejuice from 3-5pm!
Rosemary Beach Halloween Celebration : This Monstrous Halloween Celebration & Trick-or-Treating is happening Saturday, October 28 from 2-5 PM on North Barrett Square in Rosemary Beach. Bring the little ghosts and goblins for trick-or-treating throughout the Town Center businesses and the Harvest Market Artist’s booths! Enjoy a pumpkin carving & costume contest with prizes, hayrides, a moonwalk, games, airbrush tattoos, spin art, music and more!
Seaside Halloweener Derby : Grab your 4 legged friends and head out to Seaside for the Halloweener Derby happening Oct 28, 10am to 2pm! All dogs welcome in costume, but the derby race is open to Dachshunds only. Cost is $25 payable the day of the event and registration info can be found here.
Pumpkin Palooza at Harborwalk Village : Spook-tacular family fun beginning at 12pm on October 29 with trick-or-treating at HarborWalk’s shops and restaurants with Halloween arts and crafts. At 2pm the kids’ costume contest begins on the Main Stage followed at 4pm with the four-legged pet costume contest.
BooFest at Boshamps : Join us for a BOO-tastic time at Boshamps Seafood and Oyster House on Sunday, October 29th from 3-6pm, benefitting Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast! There will be live music by Continuum from 3-6pm, a BBQ buffet for $10, silent auction, costume contests for kids (10 and under) and pets, face painting, pumpkin painting and MORE! $5 suggested donation at the door. All proceeds benefit the future Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the Family Birth Place.
Trick or Treat Street : Calling all ghouls, ghosts, and goblins to the Village of Baytowne Wharf for a spooktacular extravaganza! Happening on Oct 31 from 6pm-8pm, Trick or Treat through the Village streets and visit merchants for your favorite treats. The DJ will play frighteningly good tunes on the main stage, enjoy face painting, balloon animals, and a fly-board show by Ben Merrell! End the night with a spooky fireworks display at 8pm.
Halloween on the BOOlevard : Families and kids are invited to trick or treat throughout the Town Center at “Halloween on the Boolevard,” Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Be sure to stop by Kinnucan’s of Destin and enjoy their special Halloween festivities and giveaways.
Tricks & Treasures : The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island will be hosting family-friendly Halloween activities on Tuesday, October 31 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The 2nd annual “Tricks & Treasures at The Boardwalk” will feature trick-or-treating throughout the Boardwalk, live entertainment with Capt. Davey & Crew, and numerous kid’s activities, all in a safe and fun beach-front environment.
