Halloween Events on the Emerald Coast

It’s that time of year again, time to head on over to the Halloween store or your nearest Target and pick up the costumes for you and the little ones! Halloween on the Emerald Coast is so much fun whether you have the kids in tow or just want some kid-free time. At Gibson Beach Rentals, we think there is nothing better than being on the beach in October, but this month we are going to get things a little spooky and talk about Halloween Events on the Emerald Coast!

Trick or Treating Halloween Fun on the Emerald Coast

Going trick or treating is probably one of our favorite memories filled with lots of candy & fun with your friends. at Halloween On the Emerald Coast, we do things a little differently since our towns have a lot of visitors. To keep kids from having to go door to door, some of the major properties in the area invite everyone to come and experience Halloween in a safe & fun environment that everyone can enjoy!

Destin UMC Trunk or Treat

Destin UMC Trunk or Treat is happening October 23rd from 6-8 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Destin. They have inflatables, candy, popcorn, cotton candy, games, and fellowship. This event is free and open to all, and is sure going to be fun for all ages!

Pumpkinpalooza Spook Street at HarborWalk

If you are in the Destin area on October 27th head over to HarborWalk Village for Pumpkinpalooza spook street to be entertained by a scavenger hunt, costume contests for children & pets, and also FREE kid-friendly activities. To top the night off, all of the merchants will have candy for the kiddos to trick or treat their way through the village, and at the end of the night, they are going to have a special fireworks show.

Tricks and Treasures at The Boardwalk

How does trick or treating at the Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island sound? If that doesn’t take the cake how about topping it off with 2 showings of Hotel Transylvania on the beach, an adult & children costume contest, and other kid-friendly activities. Tricks and Treasures at the Boardwalk are free and happening October 31st from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Halloween on the Hill in Niceville

If you are anywhere on the Emerald Coast this Halloween you need to head on over to Halloween on the Hill in Niceville! This is Generations United Church’s annual Halloween on the Hill event, and it is a rather large event for thousands of people coming to enjoy a safe family-friendly event with activities such as inside games for small kids, inflatables, concessions, and tons of candy in the Trunk or Treats lines.  It’s an event that is not to be missed and is going to be October 31st from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Halloween on the BOO-levard

This Halloween October 31st, from 4 – 6 p.m. stop by Halloween on the Boolevard at Grand Boulevard. During this free event, kids can trick or treat through the town center and is sure to be fun for the little ones. If you want to get double the action when you are done at the BOO-levard head on over to this next event!

Trick or Treat Street at the Village of Baytowne Wharf

What sounds more fun than Trick or Treat Street at the Village of Baytowne Wharf? Nothing! This family-friendly FREE event, which begins at 6:00 p.m. on October 31st, will have trick or treating, balloon animals, crafts, and a DJ spinning all of the wonderful spooky tunes you know and love. This is one Halloween on the Emerald Coast you won’t want to forget! You can dance the night away while the little ones fill their bellies with candy, and at the end of the night, there is a fireworks display starting at 8:00 p.m.

Teenager Halloween Fun

While all of the events listed above our free for kids of all ages.. Sometimes our favorite teenagers need a little bit more action than trunk or treats. This next Halloween on the Emerald Coast event is the event for you! Kids of all ages are allowed into the event, but it may be a little too intense for children under 13. Enter at your own risk!

Big Kahunas Halloween Horror

Every weekend in October you need to stop by this event. It is one of the paid events on the list, it is free if you are a season ticket holder.  There are so many Halloween Horror Attractions to name, Carn-Evil, Prison Outbreak, and Headless Hollow just to name a few. We recommend checking out the link above to see everything they have to offer, including prices and a menu. Masks and costumes are not permitted.

Adults Only Halloween on the Emerald Coast

When the kids are off to bed because of filling their bellies full of sweet, sweet candy, It’s time for the adults to have a little fun! And there is no better place to have some fun than to head on over to the Emerald Coast. Check out the Adults only Halloween fun in Destin events below!

Rock the Yacht Halloween Cruise

You know what you need this Halloween? To get dressed up in your Halloween best and go party on a yacht! On October 31st, from 9:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. There will be cocktails, costumes, and live music by Cadillac Willy. The SOLARIS “Rock the Yacht” Halloween Cruise in Destin is $28.50 per person, which includes a three-and-a-half-hour cruise and live entertainment. Must be 21 years or older.

Mcguire’s Halloween Run

It’s not a Halloween weekend in Destin without the Mcguire’s Halloween Run. On October 26th starting at 9 a.m., you need to be at McGuire’s for this fun run! This 5K you can either walk or run! Your ticket gets you a free pre-race breakfast, but you’re going to have to head on over to the post-race party! At the party there is live entertainment, Irish Fare, Irish Wakes and Irish Ale! No better way to spend a Saturday with friends!

PumpkinPalooza – Booze & Boo’s Bingo Pub Crawl

PumpkinPalooza Booze & Boo’s Bingo Pub Crawl Starting October 26th at 7:00 pm, 300 FREE Pub Crawl Bingo Cards will be given to the first ghouls and goblins to arrive. Complete a Bingo Row and turn your completed card in at the HarborWalk Village stage by 9:30 pm to win raffle prizes! Registration for the Coyote Ugly costume contest begins at 10:00 pm! Enjoy a bingo-style pub crawl featuring craft cocktails and frighteningly good food from Village restaurants, live music by Tyler Livingston and an adult costume contest at Coyote Ugly to end the night.
