When you plan your honeymoon, you don’t need to plan an exotic getaway dar from home that will hurt your pocketbook. Miramar Beach, Florida is the perfect location for a romantic honeymoon that offers stunning scenery and a relaxed way of life. The Emerald Coast is known for the best beaches with its Emerald green waters and sugar-sand beaches. The nightlife is amazing, and you and your beau can enjoy your new life together, the right way, like Emerald Coast royalty.

Imagine waking up in your beachfront condo to the sound of the ocean breeze, and you walk out into your balcony and have coffee with the best sunrise you’ve ever seen while watching the dolphins swim by. Then you can either stay in to have breakfast. (Don’t feel like cooking? Uber eats or other food deliveries are also great options to having the best food on the island delivered right to your doorstep.) Or you can head out to a local favorite award-winning restaurant for breakfast or brunch to kickstart your morning off the right way. 

Water Activities in Miramar Beach, FL

After breakfast, you can head out to the beach or the pool or go on an excursion to one of our favorite water activities on the Emerald Coast. You can rent glass bottom kayaks, paddleboards, dolphin cruises, snorkeling, snuba, booze cruises, or one of our favorite to-do’s in Miramar Beach: rent a boat and head on over to crab island! If you don’t want to drive the boat yourself because you want to indulge in a few adult beverages (must be age 21+ to drink in Destin), you can hire a captain to drive you around. So whether or not you want to head to crab island and then grab some grub at Duey Destin’s on the bay or even go on over to Lulus to have lunch and listen to live music, the options are endless. 

Want to stay out of the water for a little bit?

You can catch some good music at one of our favorite local hotspots such as The Village Door Musical Hall, AJ’s Destin, or the Funky Blues Shack, HarborWalk Village, and of course: the Baytowne Wharf. 

Need a little R&R?

The Emerald Coast is home to some of the best spas you could find. So whether you are looking for a couples massage, or if you both want to be pampered separately, each spa in the area has some amazing amenities for you to take advantage of, and you can find more on that here. If you are looking to bring the spa to you? Find a traveling massage therapist that will come to your vacation rental, giving you the A-list treatment.

To wind down the day, you can go on a sunset beach cruise where the drinks are great, but the view is even better. Looking for the place to give you that romantic dinner for 2? We recommend looking into Emeril’s restaurant or the Henderson to enjoy some amazing food giving you all of the romantic feels that any couple could ever ask for. 

The next day if you are the outdoorsy, adventurous type, you can head out to one of our many hiking trails in the area to enjoy a little more of the great outdoors and explore what Miramar Beach has to offer. You can even break out a little bit and check out the hot springs, which are always an amazing sight to see and not something many tourists get to experience while they are here. Try getting a bike rental or, even better, the pedal pub tour where you have your bar on wheels allowing you to experience the most on the coast and be outside exploring at the same time!

Get a beach chair rental that allows you to head out to the beach without any of the extra hassles. You have your reserved chairs in front and center; don’t forget your sunscreen!
