We stayed at Chateau La Mer 16E in Destin, FL last week while in town for my daughter’s Softball Nationals—her team placed 3rd! Most of the games were held in Fort Walton Beach at the Preston Hood Athletic Complex, so we made the short drive each day they played. What made the experience even better was that many of her teammates and their families also stayed at Chateau La Mer, creating a fun and supportive atmosphere. Many of them commented on how great our unit was—Chateau La Mer 16E definitely stood out.
This was our first time visiting the Destin area, and we were so impressed. The property description was spot-on. We loved the short walk to the beach, and the girls and even my son—had a blast at the pickle ball courts and the pool. Unit 16E is in the perfect location within the community.
The condo itself was ideal for our family. It was clean, beautifully remodeled, and thoughtfully stocked. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need (even though we ate out every night!). All three bedrooms were comfortable, and both bathrooms were fantastic. I especially appreciated the generous supply of towels—between beach time and softball, we took plenty of showers! And the full-size washer and dryer? Absolutely amazing and a total lifesaver.
Working with Gibson Beach Rentals was a breeze. Their team was helpful from booking all the way through checkout. We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already booked Chateau La Mer 16E again for next year!
I highly recommend this property and rental company for anyone visiting the Destin area!

Our stay at Gibson Beach Rentals was absolutely amazing. We loved how short the walk to the beach was, as well as the closeness of the pickleball courts. The condo itself was super nice, we had zero problems and it was so clean!!! Would definitely stay here again, 1000% recommend!!

We loved everything about our week here! This was the perfect location to the beach (2 minute walk), super quiet community, comfy beds and couches, well stocked kitchen, and very clean and well maintained home. We can’t wait to visit again!

The condo was beautiful, clean comfortable and convenient. It accommodated our family perfectly. The pics were exactly what it looked like. The beach was literally less than a 5 min walk. The pool was beautiful and so close. I would absolutely recommend staying in this condo.

Nicely kept 3 bedroom unit, on a second floor that has everything you need to enjoy a week in Destin. We felt that it was reasonably priced. Very short walk to the beach, bring your chairs and umbrellas or pay for the beach service. Don't expect a breathtaking views from the balcony, but you will see some gulf.
Overall very convenient and comfortable place that we very well may come back to.

My daughters family and I thoroughly enjoyed our rental last week. It was very spacious for the 5 of us and close to pool and pickleball court. Close to beach entrance too. Would definitely return.

The Condo was very clean. All of the appliances worked great. The kitchen was stocked with adequate dishes to cook. This condo was also located in a great location. Big thumbs up from us!

We had a wonderful time with our family. Plenty of room and a convenient walk to the beach and Captain Dave’s. We love pickleball and we were only steps away from the pickleball courts.
